What a difference a month makes!

I trust you are all doing well in this new situation. Everyone has adapted quickly to doing our lessons at home and I think most of the technical issues have been worked out.  Let me know if you need any help.

Since we can’t be certain of our status for the rest of the semester, we will have to just assume that things will continue this way through the end of May.  I will keep you posted if there are any changes, but it looks as if we are set for the time being.

Please read the notices below regarding our master classes and recital.

And remember our Easter Holiday begins next Tuesday.

Master Classes
Master Classes are suspended until further notice.  We will have regular lessons each week, with the exception of Easter Holiday.  Please see below.

Easter Holiday
Easter Holiday will still be observed as previously scheduled.

                                 Easter Holiday:  Tuesday, April 7th — Monday, April 13th

Make up lessons will be offered on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  Please make arrangements for make up lessons if you are in need of one.

Regular lessons resume Tuesday, April 14th.

Spring Recital Preparation
Despite the unusual circumstances, I would like to try and do some kind of recital at the end of the semester.  All students should be considering a piece that they would like to play for the recital.  We will discuss it at your next lesson.

Since we don’t know what our status will be on our scheduled recital date (Sunday, May 17th) I will be considering our options.

If we are unable to do a traditional type of recital, other possibilities include:
• an “online recital” performed in real-time from your home or
• a pre-recorded collection of videos that I would post on the website

I will look into our options and let you know with plenty of time to prepare.

Tuition Payment during online lessons
Several of you have inquired about the best way to handle payment during this stretch of online lessons.

One easy method is using the service Venmo to make online payments.  Venmo is run by PayPal and so is just as secure.
The only difference is that there are no charges for either the giver or receiver of the funds.  You can sign up at Venmo.com.
