Master Classes Next Week
We will work on our Spring Recital pieces at our master classes next week. See the schedule below.
Monday, April 22 (Piano Room, 2nd Floor of Music Building)
4:00 – 4:55 Elementary School
5:00 – 5:55 Middle School
6:00 – 7:00 High School
Tuesday, April 23 (Recital Hall, Junkin Campus Ministry Center)
6:00 – 8:00 Adult
Master Class week is a good time to do a makeup lesson if you need one. Just let me know.
Spring Studio Solo/Duo Recital
The recital will be Sunday, May 19 at 3:00pm in the Recital Hall. More details will follow.
You should have your piece chosen by this week so that you can play it at the master classes next week.
Rehearsal will be on Saturday, May 18, from 10:00am-noon in the Recital Hall. We will work in groups that should run about 45 minutes each. More details as we get closer.
2024 Mirabilis Studio Summer Session
Our 8-week Summer Session will run from:
Monday, June 10th – Friday, August 2nd
We will have master classes the week of July 1 – 5.
Schreiner University Summer String Camp
This summer Schreiner University will be including Guitar in their summer camp offerings. Mirabilis Students who are interested please contact me and we will work out a plan to include your usual private lesson in addition to all of the fun offerings of the string camp! The camp is open to students grades 6 -12.

Mirabilis Studio and Schreiner University Collaborative
We have some exciting news regarding Mirabilis Studio and its connection with Schreiner University. For the past three years Schreiner has graciously allowed us to make our home on their campus on a year-by-year basis. This has been great for the studio with all of the facilities available to us as needed and even some perks, like the Trailhead Stage and Beergarden being close by.
Schreiner University would now like to form a more permanent partnership with us as a part of their Schreiner Music Institute. We will still be Mirabilis Studio, but we will now be officially associated with the university and its new music institute. You won’t notice much change in the way we do things—the studio remains an independent entity. But we will now be included in advertisement and promotion as a part of the Schreiner Music Institute. This also means that our current lesson space in the Rock House, which we all love, is assured for the foreseeable future.
Special thanks to Dr. Gene Dowdy, President Charlie McCormick, and Dr. Lucien Costly for arranging this collaboration. I am proud that we can now officially be a part of the university’s team!
