Apologies for another delayed newsletter!  Ensembles are getting started, so be sure to include that in your practice.  Also we’ve all been working on keeping the right arm around the front of the guitar.  Ask me if you have questions on that!  Here are our upcoming notices:

Next week is Master Class week.  These will be our last Master Classes until February.  We will have ensemble rehearsals in November.

Ensemble music has been handed out for most students.  If you haven’t yet received your ensemble piece I will get it to you at your lesson this week.  We’ll be doing mostly Christmas music this year and I think the combination of pieces will be wonderful.  Some groups will be doing two pieces.  Be sure that you are regularly practicing your ensemble music so that we are ready to go for rehearsals next month.

Our Christmas Ensemble Recital is scheduled for Sunday, December 15th at Schreiner University.  This will feature our student ensembles ranging from beginners to advanced and also including our own Mirabilis Guitar Ensemble.  We will have a short reception after the recital.  Mark your calendars—it’s just around the corner!
