Christmas is almost here!  That means our annual Christmas Ensemble Recital.  Take a look.

Next week (Dec. 9 – 11) we will have a final week of rehearsals for our ensemble recital.  Once again all rehearsals will be in the Music Building at Schreiner University and we will be upstairs in the piano room.  To keep things simple, I have retained the schedule that we used for last month.  Ensemble meeting times and weekdays will be the same as before.  See the schedule below.  We will also have make up lesson slots available for those who need them.

The dress rehearsal for the Christmas recital will be on Saturday, December 14th at 10:00am.  We will meet in the chapel at the Campus Ministry building at Schreiner University.  (You do not need to dress up for this rehearsal.)

We will run through the Finale (“Ode to Joy”) first and then proceed with the rest of the program, basically running from beginners to advanced.  I know this is a busy time of year for everyone, so students are welcome to leave once they have performed their pieces.  However the rehearsal should only run until about 11:30 for the full program.

Our Christmas Ensemble Recital is scheduled for Sunday, December 15th at Schreiner University at 3:00PM in the Chapel of the Campus Ministry Building.  

This will feature our student ensembles ranging from beginners to advanced and also will include our own Mirabilis Guitar Ensemble playing a program of Christmas music and other selections.  Admission is a goodwill offering.  Dress is nice, holiday festive.  Please, no torn jeans.  Remember that we will be on a raised stage, so dress appropriately.

As always for this Christmas recital, we will celebrate with a short reception following the program.  We will provide Lisa’s Famous Cider, other drinks, and plasticware.  Bring your favorite Christmas dish or dessert of your preference.  Generally we try to balance out the food by last name but this is just a guide.
